Services
We offer the following services :-
a) Vibration measurement service for rotating machinery such as motors, pumps, fans, alternators, compressors to check if vibration level is in compliance to vibration limits or having high vibration due to mechanical faults.
b) Insitu balancing service for ID Fan, FD Fan, Blower and Cooling Tower. This service is offered only if the vibration fault is due to imbalance. If other faults are present they will need to be resolved first otherwise balancing cannot be performed.
c) Vibration analysis service to troubleshoot vibration problem. This is advanced service that is offered after vibration measurement service to check for issues such as resonance.
d) Floor vibration measurement service - we offer this service for checking the vibration levels of floors in plants for their production floors and cleanrooms. This service is for customers who want to assess the suitability of a location to install their sensitive instruments. Our floor vibration measurement service are also used by customers assessing if a building is suitable for rental (or purchase) for their production requirements.
Our use of low frequency accelerometers that are highly sensitive offers more accurate checking of floor vibration. We do not use geophones for our checking for floor vibration as at low frequencies below 10 Hz readings taken with a geophone will be severely attenuated.
For example, an instrument supplier sold a piece of sensitive equipment to a metrology laboratory. The supplier required the laboratory to prepare the floor according to VC-C standard before the sensitive equipment is installed. If we had used a geophone for the measurement the prepared floor would have passed the vibration checking easily. The use of a low frequency accelerometer (in this case the Wilcoxon 793L) showed that the floor could not meet VC-C standard consistently. The ramification here is that if the sensitive equipment was installed on the floor without further rectification they can expect alarms to be triggered more often, resulting in calls to the supplier for warranty service.
e) Calibration of vibration meter, vibration analyzer, handheld vibration calibrator and vibration sensor that is traceable to NIST. We use a portable tabletop vibration shaker to ensure proper calibration check.
