Vibration Measurement
& Analysis Services

Calibration
of Vibration Meter
and Vibration Sensor

We offer vibration measurement and analysis services for rotating machinery such as motors, pumps, fans, alternators, compressors to check if they are in compliance to vibration limits or having high vibration due to mechanical faults.

We also perform vibration checking of floor in facilities such as production floors, cleanrooms and offices.

Finally, we offer calibration of vibration meter and vibration sensor that is traceable to NIST.

Floor Vibration Measurement

The measurement of vibration on a floor is useful for the following scenarios :-

i) For certain plants people walking by or pushing a trolley can affect the operation of sensitive instruments such as a high electron microscope. By carrying out a floor vibration measurement the plant owner can identify the best site to place the sensitive instrument.

ii) For commercial buildings or offices in a plant the vibration transmitted through floors or walls by a vibration source can cause the more sensitive inhabitants in a room to experience nauseous discomfort throughout the day. Sometimes the operation of a pump can also transmit vibration to a unit in a condominium and cause annoyance and discomfort to the tenant. A floor vibration report will enable to tenant to have the proper data to back up the complaint to seek remedy.

We offer different measurement using different type of sensors to suit your budget. For customers who require accurate measurement of low frequencies vibration (for VC-Curves or other standards) we have sensors suitable for this task. Alternatively, if accuracy is not important but price is let us know and we can quote an affordable price using alternate sensors

Machinery Vibration Measurement & Analysis

Why do you need to know if your machine is working properly? This is because a faulty machine can affect production quality, disrupt operation and cause catastrophic breakdown that is costly and not just affect your own plant but other plants downstream that are linked to your plant.

So how do you know if your machinery is in proper working condition?

i) If you already have a condition monitoring or predictive maintenance program implemented and running for your critical machines you will be able to tell when the vibration level is increasing.

ii) But if the particular machine is not being monitored then the other way to check is by carrying out a vibration measurement. You can then compare the data against the vibration data in the baseline report (assuming you had performed a baseline vibration measurement when the machine was commissioned).

iii) If you don't have a baseline report then the other alternative is to compare the reading against an acceptable reference standard such as ISO 10816-3. If the vibration level is indicative of a problem then a vibration analysis will enable you to diagnose the problem without having to open up the entire machine or sending it to a workshop for repair.

Insitu Balancing for Rotating Machinery

An unbalanced machine can be the source of vibration in a machine.

Our dynamic insitu balancing can save you time and money by carrying out the balancing onsite rather than having to dismantle it and taking it to the workshop.

We offer insitu balancing of :-

  • Induced Draft Fan

  • Forced Draft Fan

  • Blower

  • Cooling Tower
