Amphenol Wilcoxon has launched the new REF1500 ReferenceMate Portable Handheld Vibration Calibrator.
Designed for field verification of the complete vibration measurement chain, the REF1500 ReferenceMate adds confidence to measurements by providing a constant 1 g acceleration level, peak or RMS, at 159.2 Hz.

3 reasons to put one in your tool kit :-
1. Troubleshoot before removing the sensor – Apply a known vibration input to the installed sensor to help determine whether an unexpected reading originates with the sensor or elsewhere in the measurement chain—before removing, replacing or sending the sensor out for further testing.
2. Commission with confidence – Verify that a newly installed sensor, cabling and connected measurement equipment are functioning together as expected before placing the measurement point into service.
3. Verify 4–20 mA systems – Use the REF1500’s known 1 g input to check scaled sensor output through the measurement chain, including configured full-scale ranges and alarm or trip setpoints in PLCs, DCSs and SCADA systems.
