The Wilcoxon 883M Offers 15 Calculated Vibration Metrics in 3-Axis

The new Wilcoxon 883M Industrial Triaxial Accelerometer and Temperature Sensor offers digital output of vibration spectrum, time waveform, and 15 calculated vibration metrics - in 3 axis!

Wilcoxon 883M Triaxial Accelerometer

The Wilcoxon 883M offers exceptional flexibility in process monitoring by providing 52 metrics that cover spectrum, FFT, acceleration, velocity, and displacement - across three axes! - plus a temperature measurement.

What am I going to do with all that vibration data?

Most users focus on a smaller subset of this data. The query-response mechanism of Modbus RTU communication protocol allows you to acquire only the data that is relevant to your goals and operations.

  • To simplify monitoring and alarming, three frequency bands align with ISO 10816-3 and 20816-3 guidelines for assessing machinery vibration.

  • Additional metrics can be selected based on the specific failure modes relevant to the application.

  • The selected metrics can be seamlessly transferred over the Modbus protocol to a PLC, DCS, SCADA, HMI, and or local display.

  • Process monitoring, trending, and alarm levels can be set to identify increased vibration and temperature levels, notify when levels indicate maintenance actions, and warn of impending machinery failures.

  • Spectrum and FFT are available for vibration analysis, fault diagnostics, and robust condition based maintenance.

  • Data scientists may be interested in tracking all available metrics.

Wilcoxon Sensing Technologies products include vibration sensors, cabling, instrumentation, and mounting accessories for cost-effective condition monitoring of rotating machinery.
